I'm not sure if this story has hit world-wide media yet of it's exclusive to Canada at the moment, but if you've heard of of this girls story, please feel free to read my thoughts and add your own.

Unless of course you're some ignorant asshole. Like plenty of people on my facebook friends list.

Anyway, today I got really curious about Amanda Todd (as I knew nothing of the story, because I'm just not intune with media and all that), and because I didn't want my opinion of her to be biased, I did my research before making a point of anything, as a lot of people on this fucking planet rarely do.

If you aren't aware of the topic here it is; Amanda Todd was 16 when she committed suicide due to consistent bullying over the span of aprox 4-5 years. It all started off because she was pressured into flashing someone online, unknowing that he was taking pictures. Somehow he found her on Facebook (wasn't stated how he found her. I'd say she gave out to much information, unless of course he's one of those people..) and told her if she didn't put on a 'show' he would send the pictures to all people on her Facebook. (Didn't see if it stated she did or not). Regardless the photo got sent around and she lost all her friends and the respect of them. She moved numerous times to get away from the bullying but it seems this guy kept reposting the picture and at one point the picture of Amanda was his profile picture on Facebook. A boy from her past contacted her and appeared to like her, and she hooked up with him while his girlfriend was out of town. Amanda was physically assaulted and beaten in front of 50 other students, while no one did a goddamn thing. Amanda made her first suicide attempt by drinking bleach, but was rushed to the hospital and had her stomach pumped. Amanda suffered from depression, severe anxiety and panic disorder, none of which was FAKED, otherwise doctors wouldn't have diagnosed her. She got into alcohol, drugs and cutting to escape it, having had no one to turn to.

Amanda committed suicide on October 10 2012 just before 6pm. And she still gets bullying and people attacking her onlone via Facebook youtube etc.

Now before I fucking explode and disown every person who I know thats been DOING THAT.. here's something for you all to think about.

Not one single fucking person can say that haven't made mistakes in their life that they haven't learned from. No one can say they haven't been given a second chance in regards to anything they've done, be it minor or serious. Amanda did a stupid thing by going online and exposing herself the way she did. But you think that doesn't go on? She didn't even have a chance to learn from what she did because she didn't have a choice. Amanda was taken advantage of by some 30 year old man, and yeah she didn't have to expose herself, but she did. And she definitely knew better than to do it again. And as far as we know, she didn't do it again, but she didn't have to because this man decided to put this girl through hell for his own benefit.

I feel biased saying all this because I have been through depression, anxiety and panic disorder. I know what it feels like and I have attempted suicide. I know what it's like to be taken advantage of, and be bullied. Feeling alone is the most horrible feeling when you're in that state. I can relate to her in some ways, but even if I didn't I wouldn't be judging her because of one mistake she made. I wouldn't be writing 'whore' and 'I'm glad she's dead' on facebook and youtube (people ARE writing it still). Because Amanda died people had been sending her images of bleach and ditches and saying she should've tried better to kill herself, and maybe she didn't use the right bleach.

What kind of fucking world do we live in that we say such bullshit about people who went through hell to the point where they needed to end their life? Suicide is indeed one of the most selfish things, but people sometimes have no way out of it. Amanda tried to find a way out of it, to move on, she switched schools, moved from city to city, but it's assholes like the people that wouldn't leave her alone. She killed herself because fucking pricks like you wouldn't leave her alone.

All this trolling, harassment, bullying and damn right garbage being written about her needs to fucking stop. I don't care if you think it's dumb it took a story like this to get the attention of Canada to put it foot down seriously on bullying, it's happening, and it took a persons life to do that. That's disgusting. Amanda's fucking dead, leave her the fuck alone.

I agree with this journal entry all the way...
Sure that person is dead and they won't be here to listen to the rants, but peopl should think about the family members that lost her.
They shouldn't be making fun of someone who left behind a family to grieve over them.
